Q: How do I go about engaging your firm?
A: We are happy to take inquiries by phone, email or text message (See Contact Us).
Q:Where are you located and what areas to your serve?
A: We are located in Manotick (part of greater Ottawa Ontario), and are happy to provide services in surrounding areas such as Kemptville, Perth, Merrickville, Smiths Falls, Carleton Place, Almonte, Brockville, Kingston, as well as beyond in Ontario and other parts of Canada.
Q: How much does it cost to hire a conservation structural engineer?
A: There is no charge for an initial consultation and onsite visit in the Greater Ottawa area. Please contact us for estimates outside of a 100 kilometer radius.
Q: What is the next step after an initial consultation?
A: Upon your request we would provide a written proposal that would describe the scope of services, methodology, timing and related fees.
Q: What happens once your services have been retained?
A: We adhere to an agreed upon timetable for the completion of our services in line with our initial assessment, proposal and corresponding fee schedule.
Q: What if something unexpected crops up that would materially affect your initial findings and recommendations?
A: We will work closely with you through any changes or complications. You would be advised immediately of any variations from the original fee breakdown.
Q: Does it have to be a heritage building to engage your firm ?
A: Not at all. Our services are focused on existing buildings and structures and we will apply the same level of care whether or not they have a heritage designation.
